Fees
Fees are negotiated at the outset of the engagement and set down in the form of a written agreement. They are based on the time incurred and/or the sum in dispute.
Hourly rates (if fees are based on time expenditure) normally vary from 300 - 500 Swiss francs. However, they can rise or fall depending on the client’s requirements.
Other than other law firms we do not charge a flat charge for the usual expenses. However, our Fees do not include expenses based on receipts and VAT of 8.0%.
If the character of the task allows this and if a certain effort is foreseeable, the Heller law firm can provide an estimate of the expected fees. However, it should be borne in mind that offers in principle are only a non-obligatory estimate of costs, since it is difficult to predict accurately the course that a particular case will take.
If you have legal costs insurance, please check first to ensure whether the policy covers the legal area in question and whether you are free to choose your own lawyer. Some insurance companies reserve the right to process insurance cases with their own company lawyers. As a matter of principle, seek advice from your insurance company in good time to ensure that it meets the costs. This will avoid any unpleasant surprises at a later stage. The client remains liable for counsel fees even if these are passed on to the legal cost insurance cover.
